The Biology Development Office produces two publications, the Biology Alumni Newsletter and BioSpeak. Both publications will keep you updated on what's happening in the Department of Biology.

Biology Alumni Newsletter

The Biology Alumni Newsletter is written by Biology's Development Officer, Kathy Wyss, and published by the Indiana University Alumni Association. The Biology Alumni Newsletter features articles about the . . .

  • achievements of Biology's faculty, students, staff, and alumni
  • research activities of faculty and students
  • development of research facilities

The newsletter also includes class notes. Alumni who wish to be included in the class notes section of a future issue of the newsletter can submit information online to the Indiana University Alumni Directory.

You can download a copy of the Spring 2008 newsletter as a PDF. To view the newsletter, you must first download Adobe Acrobat Reader if it is not already installed on your computer.

Also available for download are PDF copies of the Spring 2007 edition of the newsletterand the Summer 2006 edition of the newsletter.

If you would like to receive a hard copy of the newsletter, please send a brief e-mail message requesting a copy to Kathy Wyss. To receive your copy as quickly as possible, please include your name, address, and affiliation with Biology in your message.

BioSpeak

BioSpeak, formerly called Biologically Speaking, is tailored to undergraduate biology majors. Written by Christie Wahlert and student guest writers, BioSpeak is published by the department.

  • provides information on curriculum development
  • features stories about careers in biology and alumni career choices
  • includes information on science clubs and scholarship opportunities
